The
precision engineering industry world-wide
has very exacting requirements for lifting
and mechanical handling. More often than
not the crane requirements in precision
engineering fall into two categories. Workshop
cranes for general movements of larger components
and finished product about the work place
and work station cranes for localised lifting
of smaller product and machine loading.
In most cases workshop cranes will be single
or double girder overhead cranes. Street
offer a number of special features which
provide significantly enhanced machine shop
and assembly shop handling. These include
programmable flux vector drives with electrical
braking and hoists with true vertical lift.
In cases where the work flow requires loads
to traverse under the main cranes Street
offer two tier crane schemes with either
semi-goliath or wall travelling jib cranes
enabling product flow under the main cranes
down one or both sides of the shop.
Street slewing
jib cranes are an extremely flexible
work station. These cranes provide the ideal
solution for machine loading and local assembly
areas.
